International Programs is pleased to announce the launch of the Iowa Global Health Network (IGHN)!

The Iowa Global Health Network aims to provide an interdisciplinary and intercollegiate platform for faculty and staff at the University of Iowa with an interest in real world health problems and challenges. The network will facilitate opportunities for increased interaction and the development of new scholarly and clinical initiatives, and will foster collaboration among those interested in global health at the University of Iowa.

On behalf of the UI First-Generation Task Force, I am pleased to announce the establishment of four 1stGen@Iowa Awards. These awards recognize first-generation student achievements as well as outstanding advocacy and support efforts of faculty and staff. The 1stGen@Iowa Awards will be presented at this year's first annual First-Generation Student Awards and Recognition Ceremony on November 8.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that establishes confidentiality requirements and student rights to inspect and review education records.  All UI instructors, including TAs and Adjuncts, are required to complete the online FERPA training module and quiz at least once during their employment at the University.  After having completed the training, instructors will be required to attest to an Annual Certification Notic

The Council on Teaching announces the August 1 deadline for Fall 2019 Teaching in Higher Education Travel Awards.  

This award was created to help support faculty (clinical, tenure-track/tenured, and instructional track) and P&S staff to attend a conference related to teaching in their discipline or in higher education in general.
