Cluster Hiring Announcement

Dear colleagues,

Last April the Office of the Provost invited proposals to recruit tenure-track or tenured faculty in two interdisciplinary clusters: "Aging in the Heartland" and "Public Humanities." Two faculty committees, one for each cluster, reviewed the proposals over the summer and in some cases raised questions with the proposing units that ultimately helped to strengthen their plans.

We are delighted to announce that the winning proposal for the Public Humanities cluster has been selected: "Public Humanities in a Digital World," submitted by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. You will read more about the planned cluster hires in the news today, and we hope that the exciting work in this area will receive continued deserving attention over the course of the year.

We expect to announce the winning proposal for the Aging in the Heartland cluster soon.
