The offer letter is a formal document that outlines the terms of appointment between the University of Iowa and a prospective faculty member. Additionally, the offer letter plays an essential role in setting the tone for welcoming a new faculty member, confirming the verbal agreement (between the faculty member and the University), and clarifying the expectations and commitments of both parties.
