Highlights of recent/upcoming activity: 

  • On November 13, President Harreld will present this year’s International Impact Award to Jay Sehgal of the SM Sehgal Foundation, for efforts in India to foster a sustainable development model that makes a meaningful positive impact on the lives of rural poor, provide educational opportunities and empowerment for women and girls, and mitigate water scarcity and water-related health concerns.  He is an engaged alum who has provided core support for the UI’s award-winning India Winterim study abroad program.  Learn more at  
  • International Education Week (IEW), November 12-16, 2018, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.  Learn more at
